CELINE 2011 Sketch

Hey, this is one of my preparatory works for Nina De York. It has never been shown anywhere, I haven't even scanned it before but I love it - mostly because of the time I spend on it - as all of the little circles in the pattern are done by brush and watercolour!

Fuchsia.

Cannot really decide whether it's finished or not, but maybe that is just the nature of it:)
Inspired by the photograph taken by beautiful Hanneli Mustaparta.

ACNE AW11/12 + Rusałki

Hello! Today I am posting one of my favourite pieces from the ACNE project, this time with some reference to a Slavic folktale about Rusałki, beautiful, transparent water and forest nymphs seducing men to kill them in the depths of the lake. In this project we were supposed to spice up our lookbooks with a chosen tale - I didn't want to exaggerate with the 'folkiness' so I just did a little expriment with the printed background (photo taken in Epping Forest:)). I may do more of it in the future! What do you think?

And here is another, catwalk one.

Illustration of Acne AW11/12 Platforms for the lookbook. Have a feeling I need to work on the scan a bit more.

Prada - Detail - 2011

Detail from my illustration of one of the pieces from the Prada's iconic SS 11 collection. I spent a loong time on this pineapple print (all these thin lines are brush and ink... o.0)!! Enjoy!

NINA DE YORK 2011 Draft - Dries Van Noten

This is a recent alteration of one of the finals for Nina de York, Dries Van Noten SS09 (omitting the black turban:))

NINA DE YORK 2011 - Comme des Garcons

Again one of the Nina De York Illustrations - this time Comme des Garcons.
I have to admit this series is sometimes pretty inconsistent in terms of style, but oh well, I still like them:)

NINA DE YORK 2011 - Max Mara

Again one of my finals from the competition - this time it's, I think, Max Mara, based on the picture from the amazing BON magazine.
